We worked with IKEA and Vornado to create a new, multi-story anchor store previously occupied by Sears in the Rego Center, the most popular shopping center in Queens, NY. Architectural and interior project challenges included an above-grade street entrance to a lower-level lobby; exposing existing infrastructure to meet IKEA brand standards; and refurbishing existing terrazzo flooring. Additionally, we refreshed the aging building exterior and renovated the parking garage to IKEA’s standards.
